Look no further, Abraxas Youth & Family Service is hiring a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team.

What will you be doing in this role? 

The Financial Analyst is responsible to support business areas through financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; to facilitate financial management decision making and future business strategies. The position is responsible for preparing, analyzing and reporting financial and operational information to management and others within the organization on a periodic and ad-hoc basis. This position requires an individual with a strong work ethic, a team player with the ability to work across departments, and the ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Delivers actionable insights, enabling improved financial decision making.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in completing cost reports as part of the rate setting process.
  • Assist with the monthly closing of the books.
  • Analyze financial models and update as necessary.
  • Prepare month end and forecast variance commentary reports.
  • Support field business personnel as needed.
  • Complete/coordinate required financial information for project proposals.
  • Provide support to senior department personnel for projects including budgets, forecasts, operating plans and strategic plans.
  • Assist the senior department personnel with ad hoc and special projects as needed.
  • Update periodical financial reports.
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting processes.

Your experience:

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance; AND
    • Two (2) years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or a field business manager capacity.


Other Requirements:

      • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
      • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
      • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
      • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
      • Valid registered vehicle insurance.
    • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
