Description

Background Information:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Financial Analyst to be based in our Arlington, VA or Mount Laurel, NJ offices.

Overview:
The Financial Analyst will serve as an analyst on multiple program activities requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods of assessment. This individual will work closely with IDT Program Managers to develop reports and analyze performance metrics and programmatic documents against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Compile and analyze assigned contracts for projected staff hours, EACs, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals
  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation
  • Support assigned IDT Program Managers providing financial reports for tracking, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting contract performance
  • Plan, track, forecast, analyze and report on projects
  • Perform Earned Value Management analysis on multiple projects and work with IDT Program Managers to develop baseline budgets, provide monthly status, and generate monthly reporting for management
  • Prepare proposal pricing to support proposal development
  • Provide supporting financial information to assist in contract negotiation
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience in finance or relevant field; 5+ years of experience in analysis/tracking on DOD contracts preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
Required Skills:
  • Experience developing and maintaining cost models in Deltek and Excel
  • Awareness of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of ProPricer pricing tool and ability to generate pricing outputs from Propricer
  • Experience with Earned Value Management systems, including COBRA
  • Current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and GAAP
  • Experience with Navy system commands
