Position Summary
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for the company’s short and long-range forecasting, strategic analysis, management reporting, and high priority regulatory deliverables as it relates to any required risk governance. This Financial Analyst will focus on the company’s Leaf Home Safety Solutions, Leaf Home Enhancements, and Leaf Water Solutions divisions, analyzing aggregated results and increasing financial transparency to drive performance and promote proactive business planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and present insightful materials that outline financial trends, risks and opportunities, and enhance decision making
• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance, identify trends, analyze and interpret data, conduct benchmarking and process analysis, recommend actions to senior management supported by sound financial analysis
• Build and maintain division budgets and forecasts
• Maintain financial and operational metrics based on key performance indicators (KPI’s)
• Maintain the monthly rolling forecast process; updating business unit models by adding historical data and working with the business unit partners to generate rolling forecast
• Assist division president with developing and coordinating presentations for Executive Management and the Board of Directors
• Establish strong partnership with business units to ensure organizational financial priorities are achieved through value added analysis and projections
• Manage long range planning and cash flow modeling
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including financial forecasting optimization and automation
• Complete and deliver critical ad-hoc analysis as required
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
  
  

Experience and Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field required
• 3+ years of experience in analytical and forecasting experience
• Ability to quickly assimilate, synthesize and analyze large amounts of data and information
• Proven knowledge in data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling
• In-depth knowledge of and proficiency with business intelligence, preferably Power BI
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency, with hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and work independently and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
• Focus on quality management, problem solving, and process improvement with a passion to learn and grow
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
• Proven working experience as a financial analyst in a corporate finance environment
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting and business environments
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  
  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications

• Experienced user of financial planning tools such as Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, etc.
• Prior experience in the residential home services industry is a plus
• Certified Public Accountant or similar certification is a plus
• Public company experience is a plus

 

Travel Requirements

• Less than 10% occasional travel requirement within the U.S.A.
