Starting at $18.71/hr. with $1.00/hr. night premium when working from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. A sign-on bonus of $1500.00.

DFA Pollockhas an immediate opening for A Fluid Shipping / Receiving Operator.No experience required; training provided. This position is a rotating 4, 10-hour shifts with the hours being 6:00 am – 4:00 pm and 1pm – 11 pm. Operators rotate between working weekend and holidays.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

. Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

. Able following the written procedure and criteria to receive in raw milk

. Able to documentation of all wash systems, charting, and testing

. Test milk samples

. Wash all raw milk silos and milk lines with completing documentation of washes

. Maintaining the Silo area and Receiving area in a neat and orderly fashion

. Load all tankers as needed

. When working with non-fat dry milk follow the standard operator procedures

. Ship samples

. Check all silo vents

. Know and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety rules

. Complete all duties assigned as weekly, daily, and monthly

. Other duties as assigned
Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

. High School Diploma or GED is not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

. Must be able to maintain a Milk Sampler License and necessary certificates (able toobtain at the plant)

. Must be able to work 10-hour shifts.

. Basic math and computer skills

. Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail

. Able to work as a team with milk hauler and other plant employees

. Highly self-motivated this person will work alone.

. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

. Must be able to read, write and speak English

Pollock is in a small community on beautiful Lake Oahe on the North and South Dakota border. The plant runs 24 hours 5 days a week and is a non-union plant that consists of around 40 employees.
