Location of position: YRTC-H 4200 West Second St. Hastings, NE 68901

Work schedule: 6:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. OR 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.
Examples of Work

1) Prepares hot and cold food items using standardized recipes according to meal menu schedule.

2) Serves and portions food in accordance with the production sheet.

3) Operates various pieces of kitchen equipment and utensils, safely and correctly.

4) Follows prescribed procedures and sanitation practices in addition to cleaning tasks on a daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules for the preparation area and equipment.

5) Retrieves and processes from the computer system diet orders for new admissions and/or diet changes.

6) Ensures department/cafeteria is secure during and at completion of shift.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework, training and/or experience in food preparation, baking and/or kitchen operations in the food service industry or related field.
