ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Cleans, cuts and slices vegetables

  • Prepares, chicken, meat and fish items (cooked and raw)

  • Maintains own work area without performing utility duties other than minor clean up

  • Works in chill room during part or all of the day to handle other refrigerated items

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs various other duties in fulfilling assigned functions reflecting the same level of cooking skills and knowledge.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Scheduling:

  • Full Time (40 hours a week), day shift (starting at 6am)

Physical Ability:

  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly

  • Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours

Mental Ability:

  • Able to read and comprehend English

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must have passed a TB test within 2 years of start date

  • Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening test

Environmental Conditions:

  • Tolerance for temperature extremes from a hot kitchen to chill and/or frozen rooms


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Experience:


  • Work experience or potential for working in a plant or factory environment (repetitious work assignments, handling volume production, working with equipment, handling portion control systems, etc.)
