Job Responsibilities
Independently performs general maintenance tasks and/or performs planning, managerial, and supervisory duties for skilled trades workers as identified regarding repairs, maintenance or construction. Assists Campus Facilities Director with repair, maintenance or construction activities. Directs the activities of trade crews engaged in repair, maintenance, and construction activities that involve one or more trades (i.e., carpentry, locksmith, electricity, welding, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, boiler operation and energy plant operations). Maintains records and prepares reports regarding work activities. Makes recommendations on the repair, replacement and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsA high school diploma and trade experience directly related to area of employment.
Preferred QualificationsPrefer an associate degree and two (2) years directly related work experience or four (4) years directly related work experience Prefer supervisory skills and Journeyman Electrician license. Prefer strong background in electrical skills and must have strong general maintenance skills.
