The General Manager, Fiber manages sales and account management activities of team members in an effort to achieve/exceed revenue objectives, organizational priorities, and to deliver customer delight.

Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following.

  • Leads sales team to goal achievement through the development and execution of sales strategy and tactics. Personally participates in sales opportunities, when possible, to move them along in the sales cycle and to build relationships with key customers/prospects.
  • Actively manages sales pipeline to understand opportunities and actions necessary to move them to closed-won status.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed to ensure reps are trained on all products and services offered including DCMS, advanced/complex data services, PRIs, WiFi, and traditional voice, video, & data services.
  • Communicates effectively upstream and across departments.
  • Prepares sales reports and presentations as required.
  • Maintains focus on customer retention and develops plans to drive contract renewals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses & competitive environment to determine customer needs, pricing structure, and discount rates.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations and provides regular feedback to team members regarding their performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the department.

 

 

 



Minimum Qualifications: Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-10 years’ experience of increasing responsibility in B2B sales.
  • A minimum of 2 years in telecommunications and/or technology sales.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM to track activity and manage sales opportunities experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Capable of designing and implementing employee training and development.
  • High-level problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient use of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
