Description
SAIC is seeking a Mission Thread Lead for our GEOINT Ground office to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program.
LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract responsible for the end-to-end life cycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise. You will work side-by-side with LANDMARK AOS staff comprised of world-class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers, and Domain Experts in acquiring modern ground systems. This position offers growth opportunities within the LANDMARK AOS program and SAIC as a whole.
This critical position will be actively performing engineering analysis, ensuring programs successfully deliver core mission processing services in all phases of the acquisition life cycle. This position provides management, leadership, and oversight within a highly-diversified team that support Ground Intelligence acquisitions, providing cutting-edge capabilities to the intelligence community (IC).
Key functions include:
· Provide day-to-day collaboration with development contractors, other Government program office personnel, and Government Customers on systems engineering and acquisition functions in the domain area of GEOINT collection, mission management and mission processing.
· Work with Acquisition SETA in the role of oversight, monitoring software development and integration activities, ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives
· Retain cognizance of wide variety of GEOINT mission projects including, technical baseline, project schedules, dependencies, risks and cost
· Advise Senior and Mid-Level managers on architectural decisions to include investment strategies, acquisition portfolio priorities, and risk assessment of project execution
· Conduct Strategic planning for both mission architecture (technical trade studies, definition of future architecture planning, software service recommendations etc.) and programmatic needs (Program Budget Guidance, cost estimation, generation of acquisition schedules)
· Accomplish performance assessment and provide estimates of cost, schedule and risk impacts to existing Ground architecture implementations
· Provide technical and cost assessment of vendor proposals, review technical reports, design artifacts, and develop program plans
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Qualifications
· 9+ years supporting IC and/or Commercial GEOINT systems and capability development, preferably as a SETA
· Strong technical fundamentals of IC GEOINT systems, preferably focused on Collection Management
· Demonstrated understanding of GEOINT mission user needs and operational environments
· Experience in engineering or acquisition of IC/DoD systems
· Knowledge of acquisition roles, processes, and/or experience in IC/DoD Project or Program Management
· Ability to distill complex problems into digestible structures/formats
· Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities and needs
· Ability to convey information to multiple audiences across all levels of Customer and Corporate management
