Position OverviewThe Center for Teaching Excellence invites graduate students with experience in teaching in higher education to apply for a Graduate Research Assistant position to assist with the development, promotion, and evaluation of professional development programming for Graduate Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students.
Job DescriptionNote: This GRA position is .20 FTE, 8 hours per week. Tuition support is NOT available.

  • Assist faculty participants in CTE programs with producing course-level posters and portfolios to make work on their courses public.
  • Provide support for project evaluation.
  • Assist with developing resources and programming for Graduate Teaching Assistants.
    • Required Qualifications
  • Must be properly enrolled as a graduate student and in good academic standing at the University of Kansas.
  • Successful teaching experience in higher education, as evidenced by application materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as evidenced by application materials.
  • Prior work experience that required working independently and in an organized and professional manner.
    • Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in the scholarship of teaching and learning and in evaluation of student learning.
  • Experience with website development.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • 2024-2025 Federal Work Study award.
