Group Director of Analytical Chemistry *Job Title:* Group Director of Analytical Chemistry
*Location:* Lafayette, IN
*Salary:* $100K-$140K+ DOE

We are an advanced lab providing chemical development and materials analysis to pharmaceutical and other companies. We are currently looking to add a seasoned Group Director of Analytical Chemistry to our team of industry leaders with experience in high-performance liquid and gas chromatography, dissolution, and other
associated techniques, method development and cGMP method validation, transfers and verifications. If this sounds like you, I'd love to talk to you!
What You Will Be Doing - Lead the Analytical Chemistry team's function including; API, intermediate and product characterizations by solid state analytical techniques, method development, validation, reproduction of prior art, routine testing, etc.
- Provide technical expertise in the performance in the areas of responsibility especially spectroscopy (RAMAN, IR, NMR)
- Maintain SOP compliance
- Provide support for business and strategic goals
What You Need for this Position - Ph.D. in organic, analytical, or physical chemistry with expert knowledge of all aspects of Analytical Chemistry as related to the development and testing of
pharmaceutical products
- 10+ years experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical or related chemical service industry is required
- Advanced interpersonal, verbal, managerial, and written communication skills
- 3+ years as a supervisor in a service laboratory with a wide range of tests, instrumentation and workload, and directing a major section of the laboratory
- Strong working knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the types of instruments and analytical systems, manual and automated used in the lab
- Strong working knowledge of the operation of computerized data processing and laboratory information systems.
- Ability to provide technical expertise in the performance in the areas of responsibility especially spectroscopy (RAMAN, IR, NMR)
