Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

As a Group Leader, Cloud Security you will be responsible for defining and implementing a cybersecurity program for our cloud estate that fully meets the needs of our business, partners and customers as well as our policies and standards. This role will define and implement the shared technical security architecture for our cloud environment, maintain accountability for the operational execution of its implementation, and ensure security and compliance is maintained within every Western Union function hosting products in the cloud. Your responsibilities will range from shaping and implementing strategic products to ensuring that Western Union stays on the leading edge of technology in cyber for the cloud.

You will build and manage a global cybersecurity team to implement and maintain an appropriate program in coordination with other Western Union technology leaders as well as our broader global cybersecurity team. You will build relationships with stakeholders/leaders across our business practices and become a trusted partner to successfully embed security within the building and operations of their cloud-hosted products and tools, and shaping our cloud security. You understand the security demands of our partners and regulators, and will develop an understanding of the security needs for each of our business units, using this knowledge to shape our overall cloud security posture. You will also represent Western Union as necessary to discuss our cloud security technologies and controls.

This role will be tasked with anticipating security issues and actively working to prevent them from occurring, and partner with cyber leadership throughout Western Union including the Identity & Access Management, GRC and Cyber Defense organizations. You will work closely with leadership to ensure that security systems are working smoothly to reduce operational risk. Lastly, you will be accountable for adhering to Western Union policies and meeting/exceeding current standards.

For this priority position we'll want you to bring 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on cloud security in an enterprise setting. You'll have a background as a cloud security architect or engineer, and expert level experience with cloud security, platforms, and services. You'll have working knowledge of cloud-native security products and tools in major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, others) and awareness of leading cloud skilled security team members. Strong dev-ops/continuous delivery and automation expertise to manage transition to DevSecOps. You will have a very strong understanding of networking concepts with an emphasis on security-related technologies, and experience designing and implementing cloud-based security technologies - including but not limited to cloud design, container security, Web & Database protections, IAM protections, Data Protection, SDN, log management and alerting, and vulnerability management.

The on-target earnings range is $180-280k, which includes a base salary, short-term (20% of base), and long-term (20% of base) incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
