This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-4 x per year.

About the Organization (Digital Business)
The goal of the Digital Business within General Motors is to provide substantial growth in adjacent revenues through services and digital product experiences. The product management function develops feature roadmaps based on key market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights on how to create new value for our customers. In addition, the team owns the performance and quality of the services currently in market to ensure the highest customer satisfaction.

Summary of Role
The Group Product Manager, Dealer Integrated Parts, reports to the Head of Product for Service Solutions and is responsible for leading a team of product managers driving growth for Dealer Integrated Parts services globally. These services enable the customer experiences of purchasing parts online or offline for dealer installation and/or delivery. The Dealer Integrated Parts team is charged with developing a portfolio of products and services, bringing new products to market, and ensuring the highest quality experiences are delivered to our customers throughout the customer lifecycle. The Group Product Manager is a servant-leader who enables teams to succeed by establishing objectives linked to business outcomes and ensuring sufficient development investments relative to growth opportunities. This role will have the responsibility of creating breakthrough experiences that deliver on GM's goal to provide best-in-class customer experiences that drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a technical background with the ability to

perform Technical Feasibility, Sponsoring Proof of Concepts, Design Test and Learn, Backlog Grooming, Integration with Technical Teams, Launch Readiness, System Performance and Usage Analysis. The candidate will also engage withengineering and business leadership on the IT solution, product roadmap(s) and technology capabilities. This role requires theabilityto drive theAgile process within IT as well as support the broader Line of Business team within the product development and delivery framework. The candidate will be expected to expertly:

  • Use SAFe Agile practices to prioritize and lead the product backlog across all enterprise needs to drive efficient development activities
  • Utilize multiple data sources such as market research, analytics, customer insights, and others as key inputs in crafting product roadmaps
  • Provide direction to analytics, market research, and applied insights teams on what needs and concepts require investigation and validation to support new demand opportunities
  • Lead and prioritize list of issues and improvements that may be impeding the product's quality or adoption performance in the market for continuous improvement
  • Lead team in distilling the essence of what our customers need, and represent as well-defined Epics, and Features to build world class experiences
  • Lead planning and product definition from concept to launch, and maintain throughout the product lifecycle
  • Establish and own product area objectives and key results (OKR's) and build plans that deliver on those results.
  • Drive global alignment and execution of new products and features, including region-specific ones
  • Supervise and orchestrate Agile ceremonies to ensure improved value creation during development sprints
  • Lead issues and uncertainties through effective decision framing and working towards resolution
  • Formulate current consumer trends, competitive activity, and technology advancements into a cohesive investment strategy
  • Support and mentor product managers to ensure standard methodologies in the product management field.

Additional Job Description

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Product Management and E-Commerce experience
  • Previous experience building systems for automotive dealerships
  • A college degree in a technical discipline, or the background and experience that demonstrates a similar level of strong digital product development skills and practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge in multiple software development disciplines (i.e. Agile, Scrum, SDLC)
  • Experience with Open Source, developing COTS products as well as standing up other technology platforms
  • Experience with software development is a plus
  • Able to travel as needed (should be minimal) to support product launches
