Caterpillar is looking to add a skilled Total Rewards Senior Manager to our team. Your role will be to manage a team of prescription drug benefit professionals responsible for the design and administration of Caterpillar's U.S. prescription drug benefits. You will also have the opportunity to develop the prescription drug benefits strategy and generate innovative ideas to overcome complex benefit related challenges. What You Will Do:

  • Create and periodically update the U.S. Rx benefit strategy.
  • Regularly review prescription drug products for potential formulary inclusion and tier placement.
  • Review and approve utilization management policies.
  • Analyze data to identify and address drivers of excess cost.
  • Manage pharmacy network design and contracting.
  • Sponsor and provide oversight of "Request for Information" and "Request for Proposal" projects for Pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management services.
  • Collaborate with a broader healthcare benefits team on overall healthcare benefits strategy and initiatives.
  • Lead internal team(s) to ensure delivery of prescription drug benefit processes and services to ensure compliance with company or legal requirements and securely manage employee data in line with company policies.
  • Oversee vendor management activities for prescription drug benefit related vendors.
  • Oversee Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) processes.
  • Helping monitor overall benefits costs and assure competitive pricing for all benefits program components.
What You Have:
  • Extensive knowledge of large employer benefit programs and processes; ability to design and implement legally compliant healthcare benefit programs that deliver best in class cost and quality. Comprehensive understanding of benefit regulatory requirements (e.g., ERISA, DOL, HHS, HIPAA, ACA, CAA).
  • Ability to analyze employer benefit plans and market trends, then compile proven best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of common and uncommon self-funded employer healthcare benefit designs and considerations.
  • Experience with creating compelling business cases to support benefit design recommendations.
  • Experience leading implementation of healthcare benefit programs and initiatives.
  • Experience managing vendors that provide complex and multifaceted services.
  • Problem solving skills with examples of successful and innovative ideas.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills. Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas and information through the application of appropriate communication techniques.
  • Lead and present collaborative assessments that persuasively influence decision makers.
  • Innovative and analytical thinker.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams
