Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

In this role you will work with clients in critical access facilities and large healthcare systems to provide consulting, reimbursement, audit and accounting services.

A typical day as a Healthcare Services Senior Associate might include the following:

• Provide onsite and offsite consulting services related to healthcare financial, operational and industry issues.
• Research new and existing regulations and laws related to healthcare and apply that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
• Request and collect appropriate information to diagnose and solve client issues.
• Initiate client engagement meetings and determine timelines, objectives and expectations of an engagement.
• Perform audits, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, or other financial statement or report preparation.
• Plan and perform all phases of an engagement including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation and report preparation.
• Prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports utilizing specialized software to meet federal and state regulations by required deadlines.
• Analyze and prepare trail balances, complex financial statements and audit reports using audit software programs, Word and Excel.
• Review staff work papers.
• Provide financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork in an effort to improve client processes and operations.
• Network and attract new clients or business to the Firm.
• Attend training seminars and networking events.

Who You Are

• You have experience in the healthcare industry- financial, operational, budgeting, coding, or reimbursement preferred.
• You have the ability to multi-task, and manage several projects simultaneously.
• You have the ability to problem solve and note issues while providing resolution to the client.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
• In addition to all of this, you possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business or Healthcare Administration and have 2 plus years of public accounting experience. You also have an active CPA license or are working to obtain it.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
