GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Coordinates a variety of activities within the Educational Technology/Distance Learning (EdT/DL) department. These activities will include researching/learning new products/programs, scheduling/teaching training sessions, reviewing/updating courses within the LMS, managing the student orientation sessions, working with faculty in areas as needed, coordinating testing/proctoring as needed, providing technical support as needed, and assisting the director in other assigned areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research new ed tech products/programs and make recommendations for adoption. Learn products/programs that are adopted in order to train others and to provide support.
2. Coordinate all training sessions. This will include setting times, locations, developing agendas, communicating the sessions, signing up participants, managing session evaluations, and sending out PD certificates. Will also participate in the actual training and provide technical support to faculty/staff/students afterwards as needed.
3. Designs and develops course components and interactions demonstrating knowledge and experience of instructional design, development, implementation, and assessments in an academic environment. Assist in reviewing/updating courses within the LMS. Participate in Quality Matters reviews. Work directly one-on-one with faculty as needed for course development/design.
4. Assist with the face-2-face and online student LMS orientation sessions. This includes developing the training session, training others to deliver the sessions, overseeing the required completion for all incoming freshmen.
5. Manage online proctoring settings in the courses, proctoring communication and troubleshooting. Coordinate testing/proctoring for online proctoring. This includes working with the director of distance education for technical/software management, collecting/disbursing proctoring information, and planning.
6. Assist the director and other EdT/DE employees as needed.
7. Coordinate and develop master course shells to be used as needed within the divisions. The shells will include reviewing existing courses for continuous improvement recommendations. Collaborates with the director of distance education in terms of designing courses to Quality Matters standards. Work with program directors and distance education team members for assessment tracking and alignment of courses and programs.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Education: Four year college degree, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as accounting, marketing, business administration, agriculture etc.
  • Experience General: 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in Instructional Design, LMS and online proctoring coordination.
