The Hospital Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the executive team and is integrally involved in the strategic planning and organization-wide decision making. The Hospital Chief Financial Officer will have a long tenured knowledge in healthcare systems, policies, and procedures. The healthcare educated CFO has responsibility for the overall financial management of the medical center and provides leadership, direction and administration of finance departments, including accounting, revenue cycle operations, and materials management. The CFO will provide mentorship to director-level management in accounting, revenue cycle operations, and materials management. The Hospital Chief Financial Officer ensures accurate information is provided for internal and external stakeholders to drive high efficiency and financial performance. The health care-oriented Hospital Chief Financial Officer will have organizational goals at the forefront of their mind. The well organized Hospital Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the budget and forecasting process. Routine reporting of financial performance and related trends across the organization will be necessary to meet these goals.
