Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Decatur is seeking a leader for the position of Hot Mill Manager. The successful candidate will be a leader capable of ensuring the Nucor Decatur Team delivers on our commitment to become the world's safest steel company. The candidate will lead and develop a capable and motivated team that achieves operational excellence necessary to meet the technical and commercial needs of our customers. This will require the candidate to lead with a clear vision and strategy and empower their team to execute and meet all objectives in safety, quality, costs, productivity, profitability, and environmental. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively throughout the division leadership team to inspire the entire operation. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
