Southern Industrial is looking for a HR Coordinator for our office in Wilmington, NC. Must have a high level of integrity in dealing with information of a confidential nature. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Travel may be required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide employee support for employees taking online / web-based safety training.
  • Make copies, scan documents and file paperwork.
  • Process hiring related paperwork.
  • Schedule Training and Safety Orientations.
  • Prepare and maintain all call logs, candidate databases, and an ongoing craft talent pool.
  • Advertising and keeping updated current and upcoming craft positions.
  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, duration, benefits, schedules, work location, and working conditions.
  • Schedule and assist with new employee orientations.
  • Complete applicable forms to access site orientations.
  • Assist with data management for HR and Recruiting.
  • Process and maintain motor vehicle records and background checks
  • Help with Processing Open Enrollment.
  • Potentially Fill in for Front Office Reception.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English at all levels of
    the organization.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness on a consistent basis.
  • Conduct business and interactions with a positive attitude that projects the highest level
    of professionalism.
  • Associates Degree in business administration, safety or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA (Health Information Portability & Accountability Act) preferred.
  • Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, database management.
  • Basic clerical skills to include data entry, report preparation, file maintenance, scheduling appointments, and preparing invoices/bills for payment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
