Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Human Resources Data Analyst to advance the talent capabilities of the organization through data mining, visualization, analysis, and reporting of various Human Resources related data and information.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the data mining, analysis, visualization and reporting process for various Human Resources related programs.
  • Conducts ad hoc data analysis per a data analytic plan.
  • Develops metrics and other analytics reporting needed to drive change.
  • Prepares presentations outlining data, key trends and recommendations for improvements.
  • Presents data analytics to various members of the company.
  • Performs assessments, identifies gaps and recommends solutions to improve data related processes and programs.
  • Conducts research for benchmarking data and best practices designed to favorably impact talent outcomes.
Talent Requirements
  • Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, business or related fields.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst or relevant role.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and suggest actionable insights to support decision making.
  • Understanding of data gathering, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques.
  • Must be proficient in SQL, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Experience in Python/R and a good understanding of libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib etc, is preferred.
  • Able to articulate complex, abstract concepts concisely and effectively to a wider audience.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Highly-organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
