RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Human Resources Generalist in Bronx, New York (NY).Summary:The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for administering human resources policies and programs. This position will work in a team setting to solve complex HR-related issues, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. The ideal candidate would be able to work independently with minimal guidance, able to manage projects, results driven, and may act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Responsibilities include:
  • Identify areas for improvement, generate solutions, and implement new processes for improvement in areas including but not limited to payroll processing, payroll reporting and analytics, time off, onboarding, off-boarding, HR portal, compliance, recognition, and policy interpretation
  • Generate and analyze reporting information in areas including but not limited to payroll, time and attendance, demographics, applicant tracking, performance management, and turnover
  • Human Resources Generalist will anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with HR Manager
  • Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies and procedures and staffing goals
  • Human Resources Generalist will perform audit and compliance functions regularly on items such as benefits, personnel demographics, time and attendance, reports, and payroll information
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Payroll Analytics
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of local, state, federal employment laws and procedures
  • Knowledge of compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently company wide
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
  • Experience with union environment is a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
