Position Summary

The Americas Commercial Human Resources Team is seeking an HR Generalist that is customer-oriented and proactive and who will bring new skills and varied experience to our highly collaborative HR team while supporting an exciting, growing business unit. This HR Generalist will support the HR pillars of talent acquisition, learning, and development, driving a high-performance culture, and providing an exceptional employee experience.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide broad workforce support to employees and managers in the functional areas of HR.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers to attract and hire top talent into the organization.
• Ensure effective and consistent onboarding experience for new hires. Conduct new hire orientations. Execute, in conjunction with corporate and business unit partners, all necessary site activities for new hire onboarding and cross-boarding.
• Guide managers in career path mapping and identifying individual development opportunities.
• Assist in planning and organizing various employee training programs including training on HR initiatives, policy and/or procedure updates, and performance management.
• Communicate and facilitate internal professional development training in partnership with the Global Talent Development team.
• Provide guidance to managers on the annual compensation process and off-cycle promotions and salary adjustments. Conduct audits to ensure employees are fairly compensated.
• Educate and liaise with employees, managers, and third-party vendors on leaves of absence to include disability, family medical leave, parental leave, worker's compensation, and personal leaves.
• Help implement cultural initiatives and employee engagement activities. Drive action from employee experience survey feedback. Represent HR on Employee Activities Committee.
• Partner with employees, managers, Legal, and the Employee Relations Advisor to navigate interpersonal conflict, manage performance concerns, and conduct investigations.
• Utilize HRIS system to audit employee job information and approve personnel changes. Provide HR reporting research, data analysis, and developing presentations of data; report on key metrics including turnover, recruitment time to fill, and performance review status.
• Ensure effective and consistent offboarding experience. Conduct exit interviews and ensure timely processing of separations in the system.
• Collaborate with HR team members to drive best practices and our core value of Make It Fun.
• Build strong relationships with HR Centers of Excellence to include Global Compensation, HR Operations, Benefits, and Payroll to provide top-level support to employees.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• HRCI certification (aPHR or PHR) or SHRM certification (SHRM-CP) is a plus.
• 5+ years' Human Resources experience in either an administrative or generalist capacity.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• General knowledge of labor laws and Human Resources compliance requirements.
• Experience with at least one HRIS or ATS software package.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while promoting an environment of empowerment for employees and managers.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and employ strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, as a self-starter, and to collaborate both in a core team and cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to build solid relationships and influence at varying levels across the organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio, OneNote)
