Description:

Working with general supervision, the HR Generalist assists Customer Care organization with administering programs, assist with staffing & on boarding, handling employee relation issues, and partnering with leadership to ensure talent management and incentive programs align with business objectives. This position interacts with his or her supervisor and business leader several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor's advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Partner with leadership to execute staffing plan and assist Training team with the on boarding and orientation of new employees; including: organize and assist with recruitment efforts including job fairs, job reality summits, interviewing, and new hire orientations

o Coordinate pre-employment background check, assist with pre-screening resumes/applications and scheduling interviews as needed

o Devise solutions with HR and leadership team to ensure a positive and fun experience for all associates

o Assist leaders with talent management and planning, including assistance with coaching for performance conversations

o Interpret and answer Human Resources policy and procedure questions for associates

o Conduct and/or coordinate effective and timely investigations and response related to Employee Relations issues

o Assist in updating Human Resources material (handbooks/policy manuals/on-boarding materials/Benefit Presentations)

o Manage the associate attendance tracking within Kronos & Access Database

o Create and run reports using Kronos report writing system, including confidential reporting such as pay calculations and payroll changes

o Partner with Benefits team on any leave requests or concerns

o Research Federal and State laws to ensure company compliance

o Perform exit/stay interviews with employees

o Maintain and update job descriptions, and org charts for SOX compliance

o Assist Human Resources department with projects

o Other duties may be assigned as necessary to fulfill optimum efficiency of this position

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

o High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Business, Human Resources or Psychology preferred

o At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources in an administrative or support capacity required, that includes employee relations experience required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

o Proficient working knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs, specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word

o Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and perform basic task work to meet deadlines.

o Exceptional customer service skills

o Ability to recognize discrepancies/errors in written/recorded data/information including the ability to initiate and respond to work errors in a professional manner, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others

o Proficient presentation skills to effectively present information to an audience of varying responsibility within the company

o Possess the learning to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so that department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives

o Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

o Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
