Job Purpose:

This exciting HR position will have the opportunity to work across all positions at our Ventrac brand headquarters/manufacturing plant. This person will provide human resources counsel, services, and decision-making expertise to assigned divisions and functions to help ensure a highly productive, motivated, and engaged workforce.The role will recommend appropriate HR-related actions to help employees meet business needs while supporting the company's commitment to culture and maintaining positive employee and labor relations.In addition - the strategic HR Manager will confer with business partners in various areas such as leadership development, talent pool strategies and talent development, change management, performance management, business planning, staffing, conflict management, etc.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help ensure effective deployment of annual talent processes such as objectives, performance management, and merit planning; ensure managers leverage needed tools and resources to complete their processes, provide guidance as needed
  • Maintain and enhance a productive work environment by resolving conflicts between management and employees; provide direction and coaching on handling performance issues
  • Facilitate investigation of employee issues such as: disciplinary actions, employee complaints, alleged code of conduct or ethical violations; provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution
  • Partner with managers and HR team members on employee job and compensation changes (update job descriptions to reflect new responsibilities, partner with total rewards to evaluate jobs, determine promotion recommendations within guidelines, ensure internal equity); work to ensure overall equity in the administration of company pay guidelines to support talent development
  • Assist managers in improving organizational effectiveness of the teams through analysis of organizational structure and evaluation of options
  • Play an active role in the talent management and succession planning processes within various groups
  • Support and/or lead various employee committees designed to further corporate culture

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8 plus years of exempt level progressive human resource management experience; master's degree, SHRM-SP, or SPHR certification preferred
  • Broad HR background/experience in areas such as organization change and effectiveness, business partnership and delivery of tangible improvements in business performance through design and deployment of programs/practices
  • Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to the business strategy and operational plans
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; good facilitation skills
  • Ability to analyze and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
