The Human Resources Generalist will provide day-to-day and strategic HR support of Company goals, mission, and values. Under the direction of the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist will act as a partner providing human resources guidance and develop/deliver business solutions while staying in compliance with State, Federal, and Company law, regulations, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with designated leaders and employees to provide strategic HR support and gain a deep understanding of the business
  • Plan onboarding strategies and perform new hire orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Proactively address employee relations issues with leaders and provide guidance on how to handle, ensuring consistency in approach and mitigating risk for the Company
  • Respond to employee issues/concerns regarding policies and disciplinary actions, provide feedback to leaders to ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner
  • Partner with leaders on the performance management process; facilitate and analyze 30/60/90-day evaluations and exit interviews making actionable recommendations based on data
  • Process changes in HRIS, maintain employee files and documents related to employee performance
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programs or information related to HR policies and procedures
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Participate in general staff meetings and trainings
  • Act as a liaison between field employees and various departments
  • Collaborate with HR team members across the Company
  • Utilize HR technology platforms and other tools to maintain employee data for regulatory, proposal, recruitment, and reporting purposes
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
  • Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws as well as current human resources best practices
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in related field with two (2) or more years of human resources experience; or seven (7) or more years of human resources experiences, or a combination of education and experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Ability to coach, counsel, discipline and develop employees
  • Knowledge of DOL, FLSA, ADA, and ADAAA Compliance/Regulations
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrating integrity, trust, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributor
  • Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example: two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing
  • Ability to make simple and repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
