Overview:

This position is responsible for the overall operation of the staffing and onboarding function to ensure Carowinds standards are met or exceeded for newly hired employees, and division hiring goals are achieved.


How You'll Make A Difference:

  • Manages the onboarding process of seasonal new hires ensuring compliant practices are followed in onboarding and background check process.  Also ensures compliant practices in data entry for all associate (i.e. changes, payroll updates, and employment status updates.
  • Provides on-the-job training and coaching to HR associates to achieve optimum performance and provide superior guest service. Ensures HR associates are adequately trained for success in applicable systems, employments law and interviewing techniques and provides guidance when needed.
  • Supports the effectiveness and re-engineering of HR processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency in department procedures. Partners with top HR Leadership to strategically plan and implement process improvements with key business partners and communicates improvements by exhibiting outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to improve overall effectiveness of HR operations
  • Researches, recommends, develops, updates, and implements changes to Employment Center and Company policies and procedures.
  • Assists Recruiting Manager in the planning and execution of hiring events.

 


We're Looking For:

  • Knowledge of HRIS functions, Employment Functions.
  • Bachelor's degree HR, Recruiting, Business Admin, or related field.
  • 2-4 years related work experience.
  • 5 years leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial
    law.
