We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in our Arlington VA office.

This person can work remotely 4 days per week and is required to be in the Arlington VA office 1 day per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports day-to-day HR processes
  • Supports HR initiatives including employee orientation activities, benefits meetings, performance management, and annual staff trainings
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and input employee data and personnel record updates (personal information, benefits data, skills data, performance evaluation tracking, etc.)
  • Coordinates on-boarding preparations and requirements (new hire packets, confirming new hires, etc), together with other administration and business units
  • Assists with employee performance management activities, including tracking annual evaluations
  • Provides records and information related to employment verifications, unemployment claims, etc.
  • Participate in special projects
  • Interfaces with all staff levels in multiple states and countries

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent in Business Management or Human Resources
  • Minimum 3 years human resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of CostPoint & Deltek
  • Workday experience a plus
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and high attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information at the highest level regarding all employee-related issues
  • Ability to multi-task and handle conflicting priorities
Security Requirements
Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.
