JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for partnering with functional leaders to align human resource strategies and work to overall business strategy and objectives. Reporting to the HR Manager - Functions & Talent, this position will act as a key HR business partner to identified functions within the organization. This position will act as a champion of change and build manager change and performance management capabilities. As a steward of TSI culture, the HR Business Partner will reinforce TSI guiding principles and behaviors and will support and coach managers to increase employee engagement. The HR Business Partner will develop strong, trusted relationships across the organization and will proactively work to bring the TSI strategy to life through our people.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Partners with assigned functional teams to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, performance management, engagement, retention, and succession planning.
  • Demonstrates a performance and results orientation through effective coaching of managers and supervisors, and implementation of the performance management process and tools to improve outcomes and accountability.
  • Promotes an environment that welcomes, encourages and fosters diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Acts as co-lead for functional talent review and succession planning process.
  • Works closely with managers, employees and team to improve work relationships, build engagement and increase productivity and retention.
  • Assists managers in making sound compensation decisions during annual process and when obtaining new talent.
  • Partners with hiring managers and works in collaboration with recruiting team to ensure timely and effective recruitment process including participating on interview panel.
  • Works in collaboration with location HR generalists, management, and other staff on human resources issues to ensure alignment and understanding of HR matters.
  • Identify learning and development needs and recommend programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Provides input and play active role with organizational restructures, workforce planning and culture.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of human resource experience.
  • 2+ years' experience advising and coaching supervisors, managers or leaders on people issues, talent assessment and performance coaching.
  • Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of performance management practices and tools, employee engagement practices, compensation, employee relations, talent and coaching.
Desired
  • HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP.
  • Experience working with non-U.S. business locations.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions or divestitures.
