Hendrickson is searching for an Human Resources Coordinator to join their team in Woodridge, IL. This individual will be primarily responsible for full administrative support of the Director of Human Resources including confidential handling of executives financial and HR information. This position is responsible for handling and maintaining sensitive organization/employee related information. This position is responsible for executing special human resources projects as needed. Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides support to human resources initiatives including employee relations, terminations, separation agreements; executive compensation, orientation, benefit plans, budget and business financial data support.
  • Maintains records and files, create reports, provides administrative support, initiates problem resolution and process information.
  • Maintain HR files for Truck divisions. Responsibility includes processing all necessary paperwork, updating company records associated with changes in employees' employment (e.g. new hires, terminations, job changes, merits, salary changes, etc.)
  • Responsible for preparing the Truck monthly metric report and consolidating the complete metrics for all Hendrickson locations worldwide.
  • Supports HR staff when necessary, in recruiting activities including, scheduling interviews, preparing interview packets/books, greeting candidates at office, escorting to interviewers, conducting background checks, and making travel arrangements, etc.
  • Maintain and process employee benefit information. Provide customer service support to employees with benefit questions. Process benefit changes, new enrollments, terminations, changes, etc. Benefit information includes: Vacation tracking, Group Health & Dental, Life Insurance, FSA, COBRA information, 401K, Pension, Short and Long-Term Disability, FMLA, Educational Reimbursement, EAP, etc.
  • Maintain and update HRIS to reflect new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions and merit increases, etc.
  • Conduct new employee orientation; follow up with employees to ensure all necessary paperwork is processed within allotted time frame and route paperwork to appropriate individuals within the company for processing.
  • Assist with the performance review process for the Truck Division employees by ensuring employee accountabilities are in the system, answer questions pertaining to establishing of goals, how to use the system, deadlines, etc.
  • Responsible for tracking of vacation requests and purchased vacation days for employees.
  • Maintain all organization charts and job descriptions for IATF16949. Update organizational charts on a quarterly basis and Job descriptions on a yearly basis or as needed.
  • Maintains Service Award Program - all awards to be ordered and given to Supervisor before service award date.
  • Responsible for the processing of all paperwork for purchase orders, invoices, etc. associated with the Human Resources department.
  • Administrator for UPS and Staples vendors. Keeping the system working properly for the administrative assistants, etc. by updating new employees, keeping employees aware of new information associated with these vendors.
  • Train and educate new administrative assistants on basic company knowledge needed for everyday necessities (Staples, UPS, conference rooms, meetings, travel, purchase orders, etc.).
  • General human resources customer service support to all Hendrickson employees. Act as support to other divisions when necessary for Oracle, benefits, etc. questions when necessary.
  • Participate in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for running monthly reports for the department and the disbursement of them.
  • Work with Corporate Travel, limo and hotel services and other human resource individuals to get the best possible travel for employees at a cost-effective price for the Company. Act as approver for the Truck division for travel for employees that don't have a corporate charge card to get their travel approved using the company card.
  • Act as support to the receptionist when necessary to ensure coverage of the phones, mail disbursement, day to day flow of activities associated with the front desk when she is not here. This will include making sure that coverage for the phone is manned either by other admins or calling in a temporary worker for the day should she not be here.
  • Create ideas and execute the monthly distribution of treats associated with birthdays/anniversaries and coordinating of special company events. These would include holiday parties, barbeques, summer employee events, etc.
  • Handle Co-op apartments. Ensures that rent/utilities/Comed/Xfinity bills are paid when any of the apartments are vacant.
  • Work on special projects and other HR duties as needed and requested by the Director of Human Resources.

Interested in being considered? The successful candidate will posses:
  • High School/GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or Business field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of H.R. related experience.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.
  • Prior experience with Oracle Fusion and ADP Enterprise preferred.
  • Fluent in all Microsoft Office application and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Experience in handling highly confidential information. Must be able to work with and maintain confidential information.
