About the Opportunity:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The person in this role will work for approximately 3 months to gain knowledge and skills in the Human Resources profession. Will provide HR support to the Ramsey, MN location. May also work on projects in support of the broader Life Fitness team.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• With guidance from the local HR team, post positions, monitor postings, refresh and deactivate as needed.
• Review resumes and search resume databases for qualified candidates
• Coordinate and/or phone screens and onsite interviews for candidates
• May recommend different avenues for pursuing candidates
• Assist the HR team to create and procure career fair displays and materials to represent Life Fitness as a manufacturer at career fairs
• Assist with orientation and new hire onboarding
• Ensure corporate communications reach employees at the local level by creating and distributing postings
• Help with onsite engagement activities to foster a positive atmosphere.
• Assist in other Human Resources functions and activities as requested and conduct special studies and projects as required.
• Fill-in at front desk for breaks and days off
• Perform COVID contract tracing, manages return to work, and tracking.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience:
  • Prior experience demonstrating process and detail orientation
  • Prior experience working in Human Resources preferred, but not required
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with others and establish trust
  • Written and verbal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented along with the organizational and prioritization skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and work independently when needed
• Education:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Pursuing or recently completed HR/related degree preferred
