Overview

WILL FIX IT part of the ARS network of companies is a national leader in the home services industry. We are looking for a LEADER who can MOTIVATE, TRAIN, AND LEAD an HVAC Installation Team to success!

We seek a skilled Install Manager to oversee the installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems and the performance of a team of qualified HVAC Installers.

In this highly visible role, this individual will be responsible for driving the safe and efficient installation of new HVAC equipment for our residential and light commercial HVAC customers. You must be able to evaluate, analyze, and monitor our market area to ensure our service team is meeting objectives and goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops the installation staff, which includes hiring, terminating and disciplining of employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling and training employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
• Evaluates work load and schedules installation work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes installation output.
• Interfaces with home owners, building inspectors and project managers to identify installation needs and maintain good customer relations.
• Drives to job sites to monitor production and efficiency of technicians and monitor quality control.
• Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles. Reviews reports with management.
• Prepares required reports on issues such as production, vehicles, material usage, etc.
• Evaluates staff to determine training requirements. Instructs crews on proper use of materials and quality workmanship. Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
• Stays in touch with installation crews to assist with unexpected needs.
• Reviews payroll records to ensure that technicians are paid properly.
• Checks to ensure that each job is complete. May conduct job site surveys.
• Resolves customer complaints/issues.
• Monitors preventive maintenance of vehicles to ensure proper operation
• Oversees facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring that assets are protected and controlled.
• Coordinates work with subcontractors, as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in HVAC installation is required.
• A College degree in a technical field or building science is preferred.
• Acute understanding of HVAC products, services, and system design.
• Extensive experience designing and installing HVAC systems and/or acting as a technician on HVAC systems.
• Goal-driven and desire to succeed in a metric-driven environment.
• A highly structured thinker who can frame a problem holistically, break the problem down into mutually exclusive and completely exhaustive subcomponents, articulate what needs to be done for each subcomponent, and then actually pursue what needs to be done to completion.
• A highly organized planner who can manage multiple initiatives at once, proactively prioritize the most important initiatives based on future company needs, and communicate the reasoning as needed.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications, are required. Experience with CRMs is a plus.
• Mastery of basic geometry and mathematical calculations.
• Must have a strong work ethic; be self-disciplined, with a strong desire to succeed.
