Position Summary:

The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for onboarding customers so they may successful use and quickly realize value with our products. He or she is expected to properly manage implementation projects according to the schedule, budget and with the expected capabilities fully in use at launch. This is accomplished by working closely with Customer Success Managers, Trainers, Engineers and Sales to properly understand the customer priorities, align company resources and efforts, and ensure an outcome of highly productive, satisfied customers. The ideal candidate has extensive, successful experience managing SaaS implementation project teams comprised of diverse skills across multiple locations.

Essential Functions / Primary Duties:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Essential functions and primary duties may vary, but include:

  • Manage SaaS-based implementation and upgrade projects while ensuring time, budget and scope expectations are met.
  • Gather customer data in a timely manner, work with the customer to prepare and validate data, and load data into the new product.
  • Gather business and functional requirements from the customer and configure the product(s) according the specifications.
  • Work with engineers to translate business needs into documented technical requirements
  • Ensure best practices are implemented, understood by the customers and in use at launch
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing with customers and receive customer sign-off
  • Use project plans, customer management skills and tools to ensure timely and accurate customer decisions and actions during the implementation process
  • Work closely in partnership with the customer and internal team members to ensure all parties are clear in expectations, responsibilities and outcomes
  • Manage risks and issues to prevent project delays or overruns, while escalating when appropriate.
  • Work with leadership to manage priority of work across projects
  • Look for opportunities to improve process, templates and tools to scale project management and implementation processes

Qualifications / Knowledge of:
  • Project management best practices, methodologies and deliverables
  • SaaS implementation, configuration, integration and migration techniques
  • Data gathering, validation and preparation techniques
  • Organization and time management skills for managing multiple projects and assignments
  • Business and productivity tools such as presentation, document, spreadsheet, project and task management software

  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and independently execute while using good-judgement when to seek help to ensure successful outcomes
  • Accurately communicate team and individual capacity, and understand priorities
  • Exhibit superior customer focus and professionalism even in stressful situations
  • Provide leadership and influence others to achieve exceptional results and meet /exceed customer expectations
  • Effectively and diplomatically communicate both orally and in writing
  • Adapt to changes in priority and effectively align efforts for successful execution

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of project management experience with SaaS implementations.
  • Experience in workplace management is a plus.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in successfully leading cross-functional teams on software projects that are on-time, within budget and according to customer and contractual expectations.

Education / Training:
  • Bachelor's degree. A technical or business discipline is preferred
