Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Import-Export Specialist to join our team located in Hampton, NJ.

The Import-Export Specialist will have responsibility for the efficient planning and execution of exports and imports for the Electronics and Specialty Gases Division.

Import-Export Specialist

  • Serve as the key interface between Customer Service and Production Plants to coordinate the export of products to customers and return containers to overseas vendors.
  • Work with overseas distributors and customers on the scheduling and status of shipments.
  • Ensure the compatibility of all shipments per IMDG regulations and provide guidance to plant personnel on all regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and obtain Booking Requests from Freight Forwarders for export and import orders.
  • Work with plant logistics to Verify and confirm all cylinders are properly loaded onto containers or trailers.
  • Ensure that all shipping documentation is correct and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare complete set of the export documents for Freight Forwarder.
  • Review and approve the Final Documents from the Freight Forwarder and forward to international customers.
  • Maintain the Linde Export Tracker and related reports to provide Customer Service and customers with shipment schedules and status; communicate schedule changes and delays as needed
  • Review and maintain Import and Export files for all shipments.
  • Keep current on all regulatory related issues and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 5 years of experience
  • Min 2 years of experience in international logistics.
  • Hazardous materials experience - preferred.
  • Direct working knowledge of export procedures and requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • SAP experience - preferred
