Job Info

As a Maintenance Mechanic with Mauser Packaging Solutions in North Wales, you are responsible for the safe and timely repair and maintenance of our industrial equipment. You'll really impress with your unyielding commitment to safety as well as your knowledge of electrical maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics and more. This is not a job to tackle if you're used to small appliance or vehicle repair. These machines are very large, high voltage, high heat and have endless moving parts. While you may not know the ins and outs of our specific equipment, the size and complexity shouldn't faze you, however. You have some experience maintaining very large industrial equipment.

You begin each day reviewing what the operators are doing and checking with them for any issues. You will visually inspect every piece of equipment to make sure it's running correctly and efficiently. If you see an issue, you will troubleshoot it and correct it as much as you can within your skillset. If something electrical is wrong on the cage line, and your expertise is in hydraulics, you will ask someone who is more comfortable with high voltage. If everything is running perfectly, it's time to do scheduled maintenance, plant improvement projects or cleaning of some sort. You will never be twiddling your thumbs here.

To thrive in this role, you must have a valid driver's license as you may be tasked with picking up parts from time to time. You must also have some level of industrial experience in hydraulics, electrical maintenance or both. Knowledge of pneumatics is a plus. You must also be able to handle the physical nature of the role. We bend, squat, crawl into tight spaces and work up high. The environment is hot and dirty and occasionally smelly because of certain processes here. You must be punctual, extremely detail-oriented and a hard worker. Your adherence to safety protocol cannot be overstated. This is not a job for everyone but if you're into heavy equipment, it is very satisfying.

Our Mauser Packaging Solutions Retention program is a way for us to show you our appreciation for the talents and expertise you bring to our company.

  • $300.00 Sign-On Bonus (paid after 90 days of employment)
