Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Informatics Analyst Coordinator to join our Epidemiology and Informatics team within our Public Health Division. Location of position: Nebraska State Office Building, remote on a PT basis available after probation
Examples of Work
Serves as functional lead (coordinates work efforts, assigns work, prepares project/work plans, monitors work progress, and prepares project progress reports) and may oversee other staff. Strategizes with end users and application developers to find software application solutions to business needs. Participates in system analysis and design and performs systems testing. Investigates reported system malfunctions and document findings (solve user errors). Analyzes business system operation/function solutions for feasibility. Responsible for creation and maintenance of business training and support material.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in the analysis of business processes and system requirements, and the creation of business process solutions for large-scale business system applications.

PREFERRED: Technical work experience in Public Health and/or healthcare. Knowledge in electronic data exchange for laboratory values, cancer, vaccinations and/or electronic medical records. Project coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: system design and gap analysis, needs assessments, project planning and organization and process workflows.

Skill in: facilitation of meetings and teams to assign and track progress towards goals, coordinating work activities of others, preparing project/work plans, and leading change initiatives.

Ability to: evaluate problems and determine options to resolve as well as pros/cons of each approach, analyze data, organize and prioritize work, communicate effectively verbally, in writing and when presenting information to others. Modify plans and work to accommodate frequent changes in priorities. #cb
