Reporting to the Manager, Network and Security, this role will lead the activities of the security operations team and serve as the technical security engineering subject matter expert to establish a secure, and controlled server, storage, network, systems, and application environment at Oldcastle Infrastructure and have overall responsibility for the security and risk needs on Oldcastle's cloud and on-premise platforms, infrastructure, networking, information/data security, privacy, IT operations and the internal Service Desk. The successful candidate will advise and inform the overall information security strategy while delivering large-scale, high-throughput systems and achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Act as the secondary and backup point of contact to the Security Manager
  
• Engineer Security Solutions and develop processes to improve the company's security posture
  
• Responsible for daily security operations including vulnerability management, asset management, incident response, awareness and outreach programs
  
• Coordinate and participate in penetration testing and security audits
  
• Work with 3rd party vendors and providers to ensure security posture is maintained
  
• Serve on various Group Information Security Committees as the main point of contact representing Oldcastle Infrastructure
  
• Coach and advise IT teams and business stakeholders on security requirements and effective security controls and processes
  
• Working with the IT service teams and business stakeholders to remediate and answer questions regarding security risks and concerns
  
• Coach and Mentor more junior security staff
  
• Participate in security projects and/or lead security activities in business and technology projects
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Education/Experience

• 7+ years of experience as a security engineer or senior security operations analyst
  
• B.A or B.Sc in Security, IT or related fields
  
• Two or more industry-recognized security certificates like Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISM, etc.
  

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Experienced with Splunk, ServiceNow, Office 365, IdaM/GRC/MFA technologies, EPP tools, Qualys or equivalent vulnerability management tools, risk management tools, pen test and assessment tools, firewalls like Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet and Cisco ISE.
  
• Experienced in delivering awareness programs and outreach efforts
  
• English: Fluent
  

Work and Physical Requirements

• Sitting for extended periods of time.
  
• Ability to safely lift to 50 pounds.
  
• Preferred office location for this position is Atlanta, GA.
  
• Ability to travel (overnight) as required based on business needs up to 10%.
  
• Ability to drive up to 4 hours for onsite services and meetings.
  
• Must pass background check, alcohol and drug testing.
  
• The position may require work outside of normal business hours in response to critical incidents or business-impacting project deliverables.
  

Work Environment

• Normal office working conditions in addition to industrial plant sites and quarries, requiring the usage of personal protective equipment, e.g. hard hat, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses.
