Local Unit & Position Description

We are looking for an early-career Integrity & Risk Product Engineer to help us support and grow our oil and gas pipeline software business. The successful candidate will work on an agile team who is responsible for ensuring our software product quality and supporting our global Synergi Pipeline clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and/or be willing to grow into a subject matter expert, as well as have excellent people skills to build and maintain client relationships. You will be proud of the software product we create because you helped ensure its quality and then you'll make great friends with the clients who use it!

This position can be based out of our Mechanicsburg, PA, Columbus, OH or Katy (Houston), TX offices.

Tasks May Include

  • Provide integrity and risk domain expertise to our product development team through requirements, analysis, and manual product testing responsibilities to ensure we release a quality product
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with the global Synergi Pipeline client base
  • Provide timely and thorough responses to technical inquiries from end-user clients via phone or email
  • Educate users on how to optimize their experience with the software by conducting multi-day training sessions, virtually or in a classroom setting
  • Liaise with colleagues and domain experts to resolve complex questions
  • Track support calls to conclusion and performing follow-up analysis
  • Create new and continuously improving FAQ documents for internal and client use
  • Develop the content and record product videos to assist clients with self-help support

Position Qualifications

What is Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Civil or Petroleum)
  • 2-5 years of industry or significant academic experience in at least one of: pipeline integrity, pipeline inspection, risk assessment or more general pipeline engineering
  • Brings an obsessive commitment to client satisfaction
  • Empathetic and curious personality with the strong desire to help customers solve their software questions
  • Excellent ability to prioritize work while juggling multiple tasks & client request
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Regular work-day schedule and participation in professional environment (both in-person and virtual)
  • Willingness and ability to travel inside and outside of the United States, up to 25% of the time
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and a virtual collaboration tool like Microsoft Teams or Skype
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
What is Preferred
  • Experience with DNV's Synergi Pipeline (previously Uptime) or other hydraulic simulation software or integrity and risk software
