Compensation Data:

This is an hourly, non-exempt role with compensation ranging from $25.00 - $29.00 per hour plus division earned Profit Sharing and Return on Asset Bonuses.

Additional Compensation Information:

One way Nucor has chosen to reward our teammates for their contribution to our success is through our Profit-Sharing Plan. Established by former CEO Ken Iverson, the plan is Nucor's way of helping our teammates prepare for retirement and share in the success of the Company. A portion of Nucor's pre-tax earnings are contributed to the plan each year and payments are split between a deposit into a Trust Fund (401k account) and a bonus. Nucor also offers a Return on Asset Incentive plan. This is an incentive compensation plan based on the Division and Corporate profits for the year. The payments are based on a bonus percentage profitability table and payment is split between 2 payments a year.

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Inventory Coordinator position is to aid the division in achieving our production and maintenance financial goals while serving the needs of production teammates. This includes: accurately receiving/stocking and issuing/scanning material out on a daily basis. Maintaining inventory levels by assisting with analysis of min/max levels and performing weekly cycle counting. Following up with vendors as needed to ensure timely deliveries and/or to resolve receiving discrepancies. Must be willing and able to work more than 40 hours a week when needed. Successful candidates have the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high level of accuracy and thrive on providing the highest level of service to teammates!

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
2. Prior experience working in Receiving, a Warehouse, or in a Tool Crib
3. Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP System
4. Experience using MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
2. Proficient in problem solving techniques related to inventory and efficiency
3. Highly organized and possess multi-tasking and prioritization skills
4. Prior purchasing experience
