Japanese Interpreter
Williams Industrial Services Group, LLC.

Summary: Provides direct translation, interpretation and administrative support for Japanese & American industrial supervisors, engineers, and workers. Participates in business related meetings, factory line side equipment installations and over phone.

Essential Functions: Acts as Japanese-English interpreter and translator in a variety of situations.

-Accompanies Japanese & American supervisors, managers & workers.

-Communicate and coordinate with customers as a point of contact as needed.

Technical Skills: Bilingual - Japanese and English, spoken. Written desired but not mandatory.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to use computer and/or cell phone applications necessary to communicate via apps, texts, phone, and email.

Work Environment:

The assigned work environment will vary between climate-controlled office settings, construction trailers & industrial construction, where various industrial crafts may be performed. Work may be required in a non-climate-controlled production area with temperature extremes, varying light levels, moderate to loud noise levels and exposure to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, powered industrial trucks, wet/humid conditions, dust/odors and minor risk of vibration or electric shock; work in an outdoor setting with all weather conditions possible is unlikely but possible on extremely rare occasions.

Physical Requirements

While performing this job, the employee is predominately required to stand; use hands/fingers to operate common office equipment; occasionally required to climb industrial equipment stairs, stoop or bend; rarely required to lift/carry up to 10 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to regularly adjust focus; when necessary to enter a production area, personal protective equipment must be worn, and temperature extremes may be encountered.

Education:

High School Diploma or above.

Experience:

Bilingual - Japanese and English, spoken. Written desired but not mandatory.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to use computer and/or cell phone applications necessary to communicate via apps, texts, phone, and email.
