P E Systems, Inc. has a great opportunity for a part-time Journeyman Systems Engineer at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The ideal candidate will apply knowledge of Engineering Management and IEEE Distributed Interactive Simulation and High-Level Architecture standards to assist in solving complex technical issues and support day to day operations.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

• Support the acquisition, development and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment throughout the lifecycle process while assessing effectiveness, costs, risks, and scheduling trade-off studies.
• Perform Failure Analysis and provide economical solutions to improve System Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability.
• Develop and review the overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability requirements), including the translation of user requirements into system requirements
• Review, analyze, and evaluate change proposals, including regulatory and other policy driver changes or proposed modifications for design feasibility and system compatibility.
• Evaluate systems test plans and provide recommendations; and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing.
• Support program management and the engineering team with briefings and documentation such as System Requirements Documents, Systems Engineering Plans; Programmatic Environmental Safety and Health Evaluation; etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a minimum of three years of experience and an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), Microsoft Internet Explorer, JetForm FormFlow, Sarahlite, and other standard (Customer specified) applications.
