The Junior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for daily cash flow management and analysis across multiple entities. You'll need at least 2 years of experience in treasury/cash management, accounting, finance environment or the equivalent and welcome the opportunity to make an impact from day one.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the Accounting Team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Responds to audit inquiries in a timely manner; as required, make calls to the banks directly to clarify adjustments or to clarify items on the bank statements in order to reconcile activity; liaise with auditors to confirm bank balances as of a certain date and any other operation from the area.
  • Process electronic payments to vendors and payers. Wire transfers and ACH processing.
  • Performs payers and bank reconciliations.
  • Assists with cash posting.
  • Works with credit and collections team to reconcile any discrepancies in cash posting.
  • Prepares daily task sheet and checklists of to do items relating to bank accounts and new businesses; while assisting the internal control and accounting teams.
  • Review and reconcile daily balances, ledgers and online accounts
  • Assist senior treasury and accountants with day-to-day functions in normal business operations
  • Backup of other core treasury functions as assigned
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • 2+ years of experience in treasury/cash management, accounting, finance environment or the equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate well on current processes and pipelines.
  • Ability to multi-task projects, day-to-day work and ad hoc requests that come up
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Applications (MS outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of on-line banking platforms (CashPro, CEO, etc.)
  • This position may require remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
