Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Lab Technician to join our TEAM! As Lab Technician we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as perform lab tests, inspect product samples and perform quality control tests.

Primary Objective

Evaluates quality of stains, unfinished and finished tile to ensure specifications are met.

Major Function and Scope

Performs lab tests including, but not limited to, inspection of work in progress and finished tile for thickness, size, color, etc.

Inspects product samples to ensure quality standards are met.

Performs quality control tests of raw materials, stains and stain mixes.

Assists in daily control test including, but not limited to: absorption, warping, moisture, sizing, shading, etc.

Documents inspection results.

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

Follows standard operating procedures.

Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

1 year previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.

Competencies

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Good math skills. Knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets. Ability to read and write in English. Must be able to differentiate between various colors.
