The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing oversight to low-income programs and processes across UIL operating companies. The Lead Analyst will ensure compliance to state and company procedures and develop and implement common practices and procedures for low-income programs. The Lead Analyst will analyze the results of matching payment programs and determine the effectiveness of programs aimed at protecting customers from disconnection while reducing outstanding debt.

Manage day-to-day activities relating to hardship protection and low-income programs Ensure accurate and timely processing of hardship documentation (medical/financial) Manage the matching payment programs across UIL Operating Companies Maintain a solid working relationship with vendors and community action agencies in support of low income programs. Assist CAAs and advocates with questions and requests via telephone and email as well as travel to all service cities/towns as needed Create and provide training and updates to the Community Action Agencies and advocates Act as SME to support regulatory filings Will represent UIL at local or state agency functions related to low-income programs, including participation in outreach events with customers and/or agencies regarding company programs and services May represent UIL at regulatory meetings, committees, or hearings Respond to all data requests relating to hardship customers Ensure SOX compliance and respond to audit requests for hardship documentation Evaluate existing business practices to identify process improvements that would better serve customers. Coordinate and collaborate in cross-functional teams to implement SAP upgrades, and system integrity and keep abreast and ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative changes related to low-income programs Work with the Communications Department to draft, review, and approve customer communications and ensure hardship and medical pages on UIL OpCo websites remain up to date with accurate information Provide support to IT to perform system tests or other new collections functionality and accuracy of UIL internal systems Create and maintain reporting in Excel or other applications required

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills/Abilities:

Strong communication skills.

Effective problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong analytical ability.

Able to multi-task.

PC skills, including MS Office Suite.

AVANGRID employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties
