Position Summary

The Lead Auditor is responsible for maintaining, managing, and executing activities to ensure Site Compliance to AS9100 requirements and specifically acting as Lead Auditor for Internal Audit activities and Corrective Action System management for Aerospace Controls Business in Valencia.

This role will also interface with Customers, FAA and Third Parties to support Audits by aforementioned entities. This position will report directly to the Quality Manager for Aerospace Controls with a dotted line to the Director of Quality for CCT. This position will continue to improve, manage and execute an effective audit program to ensure compliance to the latest ISO9000, AS9100, FAA and MIL STD 790 requirements. Included in the scope of this role is responsibility for managing the corrective action process and establishing consistent processes and procedures across the company.

Position Requirements

  • 5 years of auditing experience in a large or a multi-site manufacturing and design organization in a highly regulated industry.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with ISO based standards (e.g. ISO9000, AS9100 and other industry specific standards like TS16949, ISO13485).
  • Understanding and working knowledge of corrective action process in a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet timelines predicated by Internal and External Customers
  • Aerospace or Automotive experience is preferred.
  • Special process auditing experience is preferred.
  • BS is a technical field (e.g. engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or statistics), 5 years of applicable experience in lieu of BS degree.
  • Lead Auditor certification
Preferred:
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification Quality professional certification (e.g. CQE, CQA, CQM)

Required: US Person ( US citizenship or Green Card)
