The Business Intelligence Lead works with internal customers to develop easy to use and understand Tableau reporting. As a member of the Business Intelligence team the lead will act as an internal consultant to the many areas of the business. Daily activities will include interacting with multiple stakeholders, determine reporting scope, dig into and analyze available data for sufficiency, devise paths guiding the team's successful delivery and perform dashboard development alongside dedicated SQL and Tableau developers.

  • Lead BI developers in data and reporting development
  • Develop and maintain internal customer (client) relationships in as an internal consultant
  • Elicit business requirements, perform gaps analysis, and develop report architecture and design
  • Develop top end interactive Tableau dashboard reports
  • Communicate project status and results
  • Recommend and develop reporting best practices, policies, testing, and procedures
  • Analyze data and architecture for issues, concerns, and improvement
  • Own the process and the results
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four (4) + years' experience Designing, Creating and Developing Tableau Dashboards
  • Four (4) + years' technical experience in a Health Care Data focused role
  • Overall minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the Business Intelligence profession.
  • Minimum 1 year health care payer experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
  • Ability to make competent, independent decisions.
  • Experience building dynamically connected Tableau dashboards
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data preferably from healthcare payer perspective
  • Demonstrated report authoring depth via experience across business areas
  • Development skills in Excel, SQL, and BI Reporting
  • Must be able to write queries, create tables, and maintain data models
  • Comfort with data warehouses and disparate data
  • Possess analytical, organizational, business planning and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with assigning others responsibility for critical dependencies
  • Willingness to work with unclear and poorly defined data, making it into a viable product
  • Understanding and knowledge of the business, products, programs, corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities), and basic research principles/methodologies
  • Lead and contribute to process improvement projects
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as data flows, process flows, technical diagrams, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
