Location: This position will be based out of Tyson's WHQ in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation assistance will be provided for those who meet the Tyson relocation policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design Manufacturing Automation and Process Control Systems, including software and graphical (HMI) solutions. Allen Bradley/Modicon
• Maintain all manufacturing controls infrastructure, including networks, hardware software and improvements / changes.
• Qualify new equipment controls and performs vendor and site acceptance testing to meet appropriate and applicable engineering/government standards.
• Identifies key opportunities to develop and implement new automation software and/or controls that will improve efficiency, product yield and safety.
• Identifies, plans, and executes projects (both major and minor) involved with machine software automation & controls improvement.
• Troubleshoot problems, identify, and implement new or amended system functionality, identify operational process gaps, and take corrective actions.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: A Degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience -

we certainly value experience!

Experience:

• At least 6 years of control engineering experience with the ability to program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA control systems. Allen Bradley.
• 8 years manufacturing experience.
• Project Management Experience.
• Experience in reading electrical control schematics, developing sequence of operations, and converting into automation code. The candidate should be capable of making advanced enhancements, troubleshooting, and testing for existing applications.
  
• Computer Skills: Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD, Allen-Bradley Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: 10 - 20 trips per year. Engineer should be willing to travel to job site for start-up of control systems.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This is position does not have any direct reports. However, as Lead Controls Engineer, you would be expected collaborate and influence with other Tyson team members as well as outside contractors.
