This can be a remote position; the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

The Role:

Partner with HR Team Members and DEI Strategists to develop DEI deployment strategies, tools and resources that build inclusive leadership skills in people leaders across the GM Enterprise to increase DEI Maturity and Employee Engagement.

Lead a team of DEI Coaches to implement the DEI deployment strategy and provide the tools, resources and leadership that will help them to be successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, design and lead DEI solutions that helps people leaders improve their inclusive leadership skills
  • Lead and empower a team of DEI coaches to help them successfully deploy and measure DEI inclusive leadership solutions
  • Lead and drive accountability by creating goals and quantifiable change/progress for senior leaders and their organizations that align with growing inclusion behaviors and key performance indicators
  • Routinely consults with Senior Leaders and Executives to collaborate and tackle inclusion and performance business challenges
  • Maintains thorough understanding of current cultural trends, industry trends and current events within the DEI space and diverse communities; Communicates with stakeholders in a relevant matter that supports dialogue and understanding
  • Counsel leadership and HR on setting/achieving DEI objectives that aligns with corporate DEI business priorities
  • Subject matter expertise for DEI related data with the ability to translate significant insights into corporate-wide sustainable initiatives and strategies
  • Partner with the DEI Business Insights Team, HR and functional leaders to develop, integrate and execute to data-driven strategies towards corporate KSIs and metrics/measures
  • Translate domestic DEI programs for use globally, and learn from global initiatives to enhance and strengthen U.S. programs
  • Develop Cultural DEI Ambassadors globally to become stronger facilitators, coaches and consultants to drive higher collaboration and accountability towards our aspiration of becoming the most inclusive company in the world

Strategic Thinker: Ability the connect the dots quickly to help senior leaders develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles in their path towards our GM Vision of 0 Crashes 0 Emissions 0 Congestion and to be the most inclusive company in the world.

Scorekeeper: Ability to develop measurable goals that capture the impact coaching is making in the organization and in leadership development. Has a passion for translating data.

Coach Leader: Must have a track record of leading teams to accomplish difficult missions to drive significant culture change while keeping your team members engaged through the movement. Possess a passion for developing others to be better coaches & leaders.

Culture Expert/Workplace Consultant: Experience leading culture initiatives in large, global organizations successfully.

Executive Coaching: Experience helping executives and people leaders integrate desired leadership behaviors that empower employees and achieve business results.

Curriculum Designer: Experience developing culture training and development tools and models that are simple and easily applicable for all employees ranging from GM plants to New Hires of all positions to Executive Teams in various functions.

Multi-Connector: Relationships are essential, must have strong first name recall and motivate and lead with influence across the entire organization.Must have grit and possess an innovative global thinking mindset to make progress when resources are limited.

Innovative Learner: Must stay current with business updates and is consistently building upon your expertise of people driving culture and business results. Business and cultural relevancy will be key to your team's success.

Required:
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10 years plus)
  • Well-versed in using MS Teams or other virtual platforms to facilitate and perform 1:1 Coaching.
  • Previous experience successfully leading a team

Preferred:
  • Multilingual
  • Experience in manufacturing or large corporations
  • Experience with Personality Assessments i.e. Strengths Finder, Myers Briggs

Compensation: The median level of salary compensation for this role is $134,326.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
