ABOUT THE JOB
The ACLU seeks a full-time Legal Assistant in the Immigrants' Rights Project of the ACLU of Wyoming, part of a National Chapter of the ACLU, based in Jackson, WY. All positions are remote until further notice. This is a two-year grant funded position.

In response to the need for expanded representation in the immigrant community to address both individual relief and systemic issues, the ACLU of Wyoming is initiating an Immigrants' Rights Project. The Project has three primary objectives: (1) educate immigrant communities and the general public about immigrant rights; (2) identify systemic government abuses of power that the ACLU should challenge through advocacy or litigation; (3) represent immigrants in administrative proceedings and hold government agencies accountable to the rule of law.

Reporting to the Immigration Staff Attorney, the Legal Assistant will support the work of the Immigration Staff Attorney, including administrative duties, interfacing with clients, conducting research, and drafting correspondence.
