We are looking for a Legal Communications Manager to join our Legal Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing an internal communications strategy that helps keep employees informed and connected to a wide variety of Meta's most important legal areas, including Compliance and Civil Rights. You will serve as a trusted counselor to executives and team leaders as we work to tell powerful stories about the work they do. We are looking for someone who excels at collaboration and is fiercely creative, a passionate storyteller, comfortable working autonomously with a high degree of ambiguity, and who truly loves Meta's products and believes in the Company's mission.Candidates should be experienced communications strategists (both developing and executing), creative writers (we are not about the corporate speak here), confident communicators, and fun (we're going to be spending a lot of time together!). We are looking for someone who has deep experience leading proactive communications programming, managing cross-functional projects and teams, influencing and driving alignment across stakeholder groups and executives, and telling complex narratives in a simple and compelling way. Additional qualities that will serve you well in this role: attention to detail, strong executive presence, ability to remain calm and flexible in a fast-paced environment, comfortable working in extreme ambiguity, Type A inclination toward organization, and a passion for out-of-the-box thinking.

Legal Communications Manager Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Legal & Compliance leaders and their teams to develop internal communications and marketing strategies to tell the story of their work and priority projects
  • Write and develop messaging around various topics, including upcoming reports, org strategy, priorities, and announcements
  • Develop and execute strategic communication initiatives in partnership with teams across Meta
  • Manage internal communications-led events from inception to execution, which includes creating narrative themes, developing executive messaging, and overseeing event logistics
  • Understand the unique needs of product, engineering, and business teams (goals, products, tools, process) in order to produce effective and relevant communication strategies
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement effective external communications for teams within Legal
  • Partner closely with other internal and external communications teams, particularly within Policy, to align on communication opportunities


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience working in corporate communications, or mission-driven communications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline
  • Experience communicating to a global audience, using multiple types of channels and mediums
  • Experience managing a team and communicating to all levels of the organization
  • Experience writing and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and to work autonomously
  • Experience in solving problems using judgment and analysis, providing practical, timely and proactive communications guidance and support
  • Experience with events and logistics and supporting executives


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Legal, Compliance, Civil Rights, DEI
  • Experience in the technology industry
  • Experience with corporate communications
  • Experience sourcing stories and creative ideas
  • Experience in change management, crisis response, executive communications
