Position Summary:

The Livestock Marketing Internship will help support key marketing and communication initiatives and work closely with members of the livestock marketing team across beef, dairy, pork, and retail. While the intern will be included in ongoing planning and implementation initiatives, key projects will focus on designing and reporting market research projects; conducting competitive analyses; identifying social media opportunities; and auditing current livestock marketing communications materials.

Position Responsibilities:

Review Market Research Competitive Landscape

• Participate in Born of the Bond, Dairy Wellness and Building Healthy Herd campaign management and performance, initiate improvements, and develop an action plan.
• Review OTC/Channel social media and advertising plan.

Recommend Social Media Enhancements & Improvements:

• Work cross functionally to identify opportunities to further build and refine Zoetis Livestock Social Media profiles
• Identify benchmarks, establish KPI's and work with the team to refine reporting
• Meet with other business units within Zoetis to learn what they are doing within their social media channels and find synergies, alignment opportunities, and ways we can enhance our social media strategies.
• Born of the Bond Field Kit: Work on creating/updating a field kit for the field team and new hires Final Project - Present recommendations and actions to Livestock Marketing Team. Outline and define next steps. Attend internal meetings as needed.

Internship Qualifications:

• Sophomore or above
• Experience in Livestock welcomed, but not a requirement
• Majoring in: Animal Science, Marketing, Business, or Communications or similar field
• Computer experience: Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Acrobat Pro.
• Attention to detail, ability to work cross functionally in fast past environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver high performance and quality on deadline
• Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, accountability, and willingness to accept challenges and lead change
